The Vermeș Marsh near Sanislău covers an area of 10 hectares and preserves glacial relict plants, being the only place in the country where common snipe have been found nesting.

The Frasini Forest in the commune of Urziceni is a protected forest area with an area of 38.50 hectares, hosting woody species of ash, oak, black and white poplar, black and white poplar, hazel and elder.
Comja Pine Forest in Racșa
